Bourbon Festival Fun
Bourbon Lovers(Including the Mafia) from all over the world descended upon Bardstown, KY for the 2013 Kentucky Bourbon Festival on September 17-22. This highly anticipated week of bourbon events, new releases, tastings, music, food and camaraderie among fellow bourbon aficionados and enthusiasts far exceeded everyone’s expectations. A little adverse weather on Friday made everyone scamper for dry cover but didn’t damper their spirits. Many new friendships were made and we look forward to this event each and every year. Mafia “Made” Brand
This year our selection for our inaugural Bourbon Mafia “Made” Brand was Angel’s Envy, the Henderson’s are doing some really good things with this brand. This year their Cask Strength was awarded “World’s Top Spirit” by the Spirits Journal. Mafia and Friends
Our first event as a group will be hard to beat! Starting on Friday some of the group went to Willett then a stop at the new Angel’s Envy property. We ended the night with a epic tasting at the hotel. Saturday started early with trips to Four Roses, Wild Turkey, and then Buffalo Trace. Then we stopped by the Old Taylor Distillery which has been abandoned for more than 20 years. This place is special and was one of the groups favorite stops. More pictures can be found here.
